As mentioned above I am 69 (born in 1956), Independent Christian (Southern First Baptist upbringing (LA County)), Conservative Constitutional Patriot, a Gemini Fire Monkey, need to lose about 120 lbs in this process (I figure with the physical labor this will entail (prepping the boat, customizing it to be the way WE want it, the physical activities we may choose to add into that, and the physical activity of 'sailing')) that should take no more then 6 months), Faithful, Honest, Open, Intelligent, Very Passionate, a bit Old-Fashioned, talented (singing/acting), retired Computer Consultant and U.S.Army Vet, married once (for 5 years), no children, live alone...

I'm a good communicator (as most Gemini's are), I don't hide my emotions, and I speak what's on my mind, a Man of my Word, and I say what I mean - and mean what I say, above average command of the English language and expressive. 14th Generation American of; French (just over half), Scottish, Irish, and Welsh Ancestry. Covid asymptomatic, unjabbed, generally healthy (other than being overweight) after a heart attack in 2017, and High BP (that I've had all my life) all of which is being controlled, built (as my Dad used to say - a Brick Shit-house) like a weight lifter (but looking more like a Sumo Wrestler at this point 🙁), and my ex used to tell me I had 'no butt', so I guess that means that when I'm in shape at my ideal weight of 185 - I look more like a tree-trunk - and likely why I have to wear my belt rather tight to keep my pants up.

I believe in "SoulMates", and Unconditional Love for a Lifetime...   And I base my decision to "Love" on facts of WHO You and I are, and if we are compatible in goals dreams strengths/weaknesses and whether we will make a successful team/partnership, not on emotion (that comes later as a product of the decision to Love, Respect, and Trust, IMHO)...

 

I also believe that an intimate marital relationship NEEDS to be built on a "decision" to Love rather than on emotions, as emotions CAN change over time and become a danger to the relationship, but an irrevocable 'decision/choice' one makes TO themselves is much stronger and therefore the relationship is much more apt to survive over time...
